Today I was able to attend the signing of H.454 - the Ed reform bill- into law by @GovPhilScott. I introduced this bill earlier this year & will dramatically transform how we fund our ed system in Vermont, giving our students more opportunities at a price Vermonters can afford.

Start a 1 game winning streak, get back to 500 baseball. Tread water til U get some pitching back , and then win 28 of the last 34 games. 10 game win streak, 5 consecutive shutouts… 1-0,2-0,6-0,2-0,1-0… and throw in another 9 game win streak to win the pennant . All it took was a team players only meeting to refresh ourselves how you win games .

This would have extreme consequences to our economy in St. A. These unobtainable goals would have left manufacturers allocating less vehicles & we would have lost sales to NY and NH. We should always be looking to move to renewable & cleaner energy, but at a sustainable pace.

House Republicans once again try to ease restrictions of the Renewable Energy Standard and the impact of higher rates to consumers, unfortunately the House Committee on Energy voted it down on party lines and questioned the germaneness. Vermonters deserve better.

Rep. Rob North (R-Ferrisburgh) just proposed to repeal the Clean Heat Standard but the majority shut it down on the floor. The majority continues to put this vote off after voters overwhelmingly spoke out in opposition of this bill that will cost us billions of dollars.

It was a wet and cold one but we still showed up for the Maple Festival parade! Thank you to everyone who came out and braved the weather. #TeamToof

On Holocaust Remembrance Day here at the State House we hear a power message and great song from former State Representative Avram Patt. We need Holocaust education now.

“We need education reform by the end of this session or we’re not doing our jobs. Unfortunately, this is not the bill the Republican caucus can support unless it comes back with some significant changes in the Senate,” said Rep. Casey Toof, R-St. Albans Town.
