I just learned that chef, Michael Chiarello died last night from an acute allergic reaction that led to anaphylactic shock. He was a California pioneer in many things and his restaurants: Bottega and Coqueta continue to celebrate his legacy.

Thanks for the huge outpouring of kindness. (I just ignore the other foolishness.) Go figure – I finally got Covid and it was #5 on my ER problem list! FYI, I'm on the mend, done w/ Paxlovid, still testing +, stitches out soon, neck brace x 6 weeks. Overall I feel very fortunate.

@aunder Hope you found a driver. We don't have an issue in San Rafael, but Kentfield after 9 pm was impossible/challenging even pre-pandemic.

Getting an Uber on a Saturday night in central Marin reminds me of what we used to have to do in SF to get cabs in the aughts. 40 mins and counting. And will I convince one to drive me back tonight? Can’t wait to find out!
