I just went through the hell that @Ticketmaster puts people through, just for free tickets. I didn’t think I could hate the corporation more than I already did! At least the event will check off a non-repeatable event.

I think @XcelEnergyCO is gaslighting me! My bill is the highest ever & I’ve reduced my electricity use during the peak period (triple $ of off-peak). Is this the compromise for shifting to electrification?!

@ShelfAdditions is a perfect example in how NOT to be a small business! The person answering the phone blamed me & customers for not being able to order properly despite the poor description & requirement of specialized equipment! Then not assisting with basic questions—pathetic!

@Safeway @Albertsons Why am I seeing a $35 target in the marketing message but it’s $36 for the actual calculation? I learned that they are two different values. Please inform!

@BuildUpDenver Start by breaking up the area into blocks that integrate with the existing neighborhood. Then look at it as multiple parcels on each block that can create unique components that can complement a cohesive vision compatible & complementary to the neighborhood & residents.

@BuildUpDenver @SelectStarMan This is where conflict between zoning & building codes shows up. Zoning could allow 7 floors with the Affordable Density Bonus, but building code restricts it, even if the ability to contain or safely deal with fires is attainable. This is a work in progress!

@BuildUpDenver This is a great design! Going two levels deep may resolve its issues. This lot has its own special encumbrances as a former filling station. The parking lot is a cap on the toxic ground below it, limiting its economic potential. Expensive abatement is required. Owned by Fentress.

@MattFrommer Living in Class C, my rent is still going up, but I’m not in a corporate warehouse where highest rent is the goal. I’m hoping there’s more diversity of analysis in the report to understand the fuller spectrum of what’s going on in the area, especially with the small mfh in Denver

Over the last few years, the Denver metro has built a historic amount of new apartments leading to declining rents.
In our new blog, Luke Teater and I used RealPage data to measure the rent change.
Notably, rents for Class C buildings, the most affordable segment, fell twice as fast as more expensive Class A and B apartments showing that increasing housing supply is a powerful affordable housing strategy.
