Breakfast in the motherland. And no, Faqash didn’t get a single penny for an eVisa. I rather pay Ethiopia $80 and drive to Wajaale, Somaliland.

@Africanistkemte You forgot to mention that you guys were kicked out of Somalia by another Kenyan group. It’s why your practices are similar to your ancestors. Now instead of being proud of your cushitic mixture, you’re going around insulting Aabe. Brutus.

Depends on the culture, honestly. In some African cultures, including my own Bajuni culture, long hair was traditionally associated with femininity. In the past, it was common for a groom to have his head completely shaved bald as a symbol of his transition into manhood. For example, across many African societies, young men undergoing initiation or rites of passage have their hair shaved to represent masculinity, spiritual purity, discipline, and rebirth. Similar practices also existed in ancient Egypt and have been widespread across Africa for centuries, so this has nothing to do with colonialism. That is why we have to specify the particular culture instead of treating Africans as one homogeneous group. African traditions are diverse, and what symbolizes masculinity in one culture may symbolize femininity in another.
Nora@Heal_within96

Africans have this backward colonial belief that long hair is bad, yet our ancestors had long hair.

At least Somalis aren’t culturally appropriating Sudani gold then mistreating South asian workers. While we inhale room-sized portions of Zurbian, nigleb Yemen al Saeeda ilal Ta3eesa, and pledge allegiance to Sykes-Picot. Wanna pull the 3arab 3ariba card? Commonwealth 1 ✈️ away

@BillyJoneshix1 @Djbawlah @Abdirahman155A He’s not an infallible saint, so what? His movement symbolized the resistance. Better than having Dir Dhaba handed to outsiders. Ever since then we’ve been looted, made into refugees, and mocked.

Why would he? 'Ethiopia' was founded on decimating native populations, raiding livestock from unarmed muslims, and begging their Allies for a good cover-up. Try informing an Ethiopian nationalist of these atrocities. They'll laugh saying that's what Somali-'Ethios' deserve.

According to the Ogaden News Agency, innocent Somalis have been killed in Barbile by Ethiopian Oromo militias. This is part of a series of attacks on Somali lives in Ethiopia. In just the last month, several Somalis have been killed, including an innocent underage girl named

@urban0utlawz @RagzIsmo @FergieBallFan Here’s an excerpt from an interview with the 1st Yemeni trader to bring and introduced Dirac in Aden. He said he brought from Somali traders in Djibouti. His store was the first to sell Dirac there too. In case you can’t read your native language.

@urban0utlawz @RagzIsmo @FergieBallFan Same with your country of origin’s foods. They were heavily influenced by India. Not only spices but many recipes were given an Arab twist to it. I weep for the Tunnis who gave you a place to live only for you to diminish their people’s influence. A borrowed term is ur proof?
