Absolutely shattered!
This morning I was told to head straight to A&E for suspected lung inflammation or acute pneumonitis, a rare side effect of my cancer med Ribociclib. My team have been concerned by this chest infection which I've had on and off since the beginning of Feb.
Unfortunately it's been getting worse, even being on steroids and more antibiotics, and I can now barely talk.
They've have been absolutely brilliant and I've been admitted, but unfortunately there still isn't a bed available on the Onco ward, so I've been sitting in a chair in the A&E treatment side room. Hopefully I'll get some answers tomorrow when the test results come back, and I can get back home for Easter 🐣 🤞🏼#ThankYouNHS#LivingWithCancer
Campaigners have been outside Holyrood this morning ahead of the final vote on Scotland’s assisted dying bill. We hope those with the power to decide will vote with courage for terminally ill people across Scotland who are desperately asking for choice at the end of their lives.
Breaking: 100,000 signatures.
A clear public message that Parliament must respect the decisions of MPs and allow the assisted dying Bill to complete all its stages.

As a GP and MSP, I believe that the assisted dying bill offers a safe, compassionate choice for those whose pain cannot be relieved. My article in @heraldscotland explains why. heraldscotland.com/politics/holyr…
Resisting genocide should not be a crime.
The real terrorists are those participating in it.
How many times does this have to be said?
Stop the genocide.
Five years ago today our mum died a cruel, horrific and painful death. Last nights result will make today more bearable. It’s been a long four years of campaigning, still a bit to go. I want to thank Liam McArthur, the team @dignityindying and the MSP’s who voted. Miss you mum ❤️
@tora_burns@dignityindying Sincere condolences to Tora and her family and a day late and on a different subject thoughts as ever with the family of Lee Richardson
An email in to us:
"As a South African, I can tell you that the artists who initially came out against the Apartheid regime did not have an easy life. They were blacklisted; some were exiled; and the media and political classes—and even some organisations that purported to be artist-centered—turned against them in every way.
But they are heroes to us, to this day; and the youth always responded to their message, because the youth have a strong spirit and sense of justice.
Never be afraid to speak the truth. Your fear of "consequences" is the only hold that the establishment has over you, and when that is gone… only the truth, as you see it, remains.
This fact is known to all those who resist oppression, no matter what form it takes."
Last night kicked of our 3-part film series event, Heroin ‘Uncut’ – The Films of Peter Carr & the Edinburgh Community Stories Behind Them.📽️
Part 1 was followed by a powerful discussion between Irvine Welsh & Zoë Black, diving into the film’s legacy & the real stories behind it.
Our film series event Heroin ‘Uncut’ – The Films of Peter Carr continued last night with part 2. 🎬
After a powerful screening of 'Heroin', we had a gripping Q&A with Tora Burns and Dr Roy Robertson, sparking memories & insights into North Edinburgh’s heroin and HIV crises.💭👏
Boycott Israel. Sanction Israel. Divest from Israel. Refuse to perform in Israel. Arrest Israeli soldiers and war criminals. Genocide is not in the past. Genocide is not forgotten. Genocide is an active event. The land remains occupied, bulldozed, and collectively punished.
If I wasn’t still blocked I’d be asking Cammy Day a few more questions. One of the names he called the young team was despicable. Brass neck! Unravelling for you Cammy. Pity you inflicted so much damage on Edinburgh before you got the boot and can’t take your cohorts with you!
