@toreadorkable One of my students has debilitating anxiety and is only partially verbal so I taught him that when I say “what’s the number one rule?” he just goes “👍🏻 not panic”

To this day I use “don’t panic” as a coping mechanism. Originally as a kid, because it always worked in the books. As I got older, I realized that’s because when you’re panicking you make worse choices. When shit hits the fan, at 30, I still say it under my breath, and it helps
