first review back is a dual review of my most used pads while i was taking a mental health hiatus. <3 the @GLSSWRKSGG hana (balance/control) and @tekkusai the beast (speed) are two high-end glass mouse pads that cater to very different preferences, yet both deliver exceptional performance and aesthetics. texture & feel: the hana has a smooth yet subtly textured surface that offers a unique balance between glide and stopping power. it’s not as rough as some, but you can definitely feel some resistance compared to a pure speed pad. the beast, on the other hand, is a completely different experience—it’s almost entirely smooth, with a near-frictionless glide that feels like skating on iceeeee. the difference in texture is night and day, with the hana giving more controlled movements and the beast allowing for effortless flicks and fast tracking. speed & control: the hana’s surface makes it an excellent choice for those who need precision without sacrificing too much speed. it’s fast enough for flicks but has enough stopping power to make micro-adjustments feel natural! the beast, true to its name, is a pure speed pad. there’s almost no resistance, making it ideal for fast-paced games where quick, repeated movements are necessary. however, it can take some time to adjust if you’re used to more controlled surfaces (it was a bit of a learning curve for me, but boy am i in love now!!) aesthetics & design both pads are visually stunning. the hana features delicate artwork inspired by japanese designs, making it a centerpiece on any desk. the coloring too is everything, it’s so CLEAR. the beast, however, is something completely new to the peripheral community. its design is bold and aggressive, with intricate artwork that stands out in a market where most glass pads focus on minimalism OR anime girlies haha. it’s refreshing to see a pad that embraces artistic expression while maintaining top-tier performance. final thoughts i enjoy both pads for different things. the hana is my go-to when i want a balance between speed and control—perfect for games where precision matters. the beast, on the other hand, is an absolute joy for fast-paced gameplay and situations where pure speed is an advantage. having both means i can switch depending on what i need, and honestly, they complement each other well. i think having both of these in your peripheral collection is crucial. ty for reading <3 ty @tekkusai for hana <3 ty @Averithh for the borrow on the beast <3
