The new Gemini 3.5 Flash solved the HVM3's wnf bug in 1/3 attempts. This is my main test to take a model seriously. So far only the big models like GPT 5.5 solved it.
And seems like it is 20x faster than Opus 4.6 !

Personal update: I've joined Anthropic. I think the next few years at the frontier of LLMs will be especially formative. I am very excited to join the team here and get back to R&D. I remain deeply passionate about education and plan to resume my work on it in time.

My take: I keep Codex Fast Mode off.
1.5x faster for 2.5x usage is already a bad trade.
In practice, it often doesn't even feel 50% faster.
I’d rather save that usage for more tokens, especially on the Plus plan.
If you want more speed, split the task and run the parts in parallel.

i tried the Codex mobile app and i get the hype of mobile coding, THIS IS THE BEST.
just need long threads to load faster (might be my wifi) and we're good to go.
