WFC in #houdini update! After getting the grid solver working, I moved on to the irregular grid setup that @OskSta uses for #Townscaper . Figuring out how to tweak the algo to handle weirdly oriented quads was tough. Next I'll be working on constraint tools for this. #gamedev

Here's a little progression montage: 1. Townscaper. 2. Blender (clean bird normals, extrude rails, delete water and close bottom of mesh). 3. Slice in ChiTuBox (scale, add supports). 4. Mid-print. 5. Print finished. 6. Remove supports and alcohol bath. 7. UV cure. 8. Fin!

All these Townscaper 3d prints got me thinking: A fun mini project would be a generator in the browser specifically designed to generate printable dioramas. Maybe a few sliders and checkboxes, but not blocks like Townscaper. And no textures (which would be very liberating)

If you've been waiting for the Townscaper mesh exporter, you can now try it out in the public beta branch on Steam. There's a bunch of other subtle changes and optimizations too, but nothing major. Please do let me know if you run into any issues!

I found one on my first Python projects. It's a bot that plays #Townscaper. Click distribution is based on a gradient mask, it also randomly picks a limited color palette at start and uses it during the run. #pythoncode
