If it's calendar month, place your orders closer to the start of the month. This way you have about 3 weeks in that month to move that inventory, plus 4 weeks in the following month during your real 30 days.

Understanding and leveraging credit terms with vendors is crucial to cash flow. Mind the details. For example Net 30 = 30 days credit. Confirm whether that time starts counting from 1. Invoice date, 2. Good receipt date, or 3. End of calendar month.
