Definitely a day of highs and lows. I’ll just share the high: I was holding out until January for new tires as the best offer I found was about $800. Went in for regular service today and got surprised with a deal for about $515. This is adulting.

I’m addicted to figuring out how to win at business. I go to sleep and wake up thinking about this stuff. Looking around at everything thinking, “hmm I wonder what margins they’re making on that?”.

Making a bad hire at leadership level is costly. They usually recruit more bad hires that mirror them.

What a week. Almost $5K in repairs to all kinds of stuff that decided to break. Me: I’m staying home because outside is expensive. Bills: See you at the house boo. Money must make next week ya see meh.

We better start respecting and paying people with excellent public speaking skills. That is not a casual thing. The ability to assemble ideas and communicate them clearly OUT LOUD in front of small and big audiences is not a joke.

Literally jumped off a zoom call with zero audio issues. Teams call… goofy issues and had to switch mics and other tweaks.

As we enter this season of Caribbean graduations please remember that when it comes to public speaking, if you’re not going to be great, then at least be brief. Also, very few people are as great as they think they are. 🫡

Is there really no official desktop Mac app for google calendar? @Google please don’t make us have to do this goofy sync thing with Apple calendar.
