100% of dev is going to be done in sandboxes in the cloud, controlled by kanban boards. Trust me, I love my local machine and gorgeous mac apps, but all of it is just a terrible form factor for running a team of agents effectively.

this opinion will piss nobody off (because it is a correct opinion) ... but reducing slots per window to 1 or 2 >>>> reducing slot time by half. way way way less complexity in the pr 1. you keep vote costs the same (per slot, and per year) 2. no blockhash age change 3. no target tick duration change 4. no total, vote, account cost limit changes 5. no shred limit changes 6. no status cache capacity changes 7. no snapshot interval changes 8. no clock drift correction changes 9. no effect on TVC (plan is presently to leave TVC alone which would centralize to europe again) 10. no change to fee governor all you have to do is change a constant (number of contiguous slots per window) and you get the FULL benefit of reducing leader monopoly duration. you also IBRL because you don't have to deal with the heft agave slot transition twice as often, and don't have to deal with 2x as much vote traffic (≈12.6m CU/s). 12.6M CU/s is 8% of the chain capacity! we'd immediately undo the benefit of p-token freeing up space lol
