The #1 $PALM Protocol Update and what it means for you and us. As a holder, you've now gotten your $PALM Staking Rewards for the 4th time. The APYs are increasing, but with the load of more users there always seem to be edge cases to solve. But it does suck to wait even a few more extra days due to that, we know. One of the main goals of decentralization is to resolve edge cases efficiently according to rulesets. As such, to fully mitigate these and avoid creating a "policy of anticipation", the first fully automated, protocol implementation is going to be for the Staking Rewards themselves. 1) All the staking rules will be governed by a smart contract. 2) The distribution is according to epoch, not dates. You can see the accuracy of a distribution in UNIX timing. There is no risk of "frontrunning". 3) We will keep providing support 1-1, but rather than focusing on doing it right in the short term, we'll introduce the exact policies and methods that govern the on-chain ruleset. This is a serious leap for the project that serves both the best interest of the community and the team. It also reduces overhead - no working hours spent on the distribution system, just plainly on sourcing revenue. The contracts will be audited publicly for 24 hours with a reward offered for any meaningful bug found.
