@haulamerican Honestly, I resonate with this hard. The money is absolutely in the follow up, essentially every client I have is because there were multiple touch points and I was not afraid of hearing 'not yet' or 'maybe another time'. Unless its a "f**k off", its game on in my opinion
English

I’m not the guy who pressures people into saying “yes.”
But I will say - following up a 3rd / 4th / 5th time does wonders for your close rates.
Chase after those jobs you want.
Win those bids and do great work.
I’ve had a silent customer say “sure” after the fifth time following up.
Grow some courage and ask again.
English

@StumpGuyTy I can only speak to my line of work,M&A for SME owners, but I can tell you 99% of my leads come from Linkedin. Nothing else comes close, and ive tried a lot of shit. It takes a lot of touch points, but it definitely works. 6 figs of fees generated in less then a year on there.

@A_LastingLegacy Good luck Nathan. Make sure the non compete isn’t too strong so you can go again!

We are officially going to market this week.
Its a big mix of emotions.
Not because I'm sad im selling the company but because I know if I held on we could get an even better price. There is major meat on the bone, but you have to call it some time.
I expect to be a liquid millionaire at some point this year which will be a major quality of life shift, but there will always be that nagging thought of what would have happened if I had held on for one more year?
English

Dave Ramsey reacts to a caller in his 20s as he is terrified by being gifted a commercial strip mall worth millions by an 80-year-old millionaire he met two years ago:
Dave Ramsey: How much is this property worth?
Caller: He bought it for about $1 million 20 years ago. It's 3.23 acres with a 43,000-square-foot strip mall full of tenants.
Dave Ramsey: And he's just giving it to you?
Caller: Yes. I'm meeting with him and his attorney this week to finalize details.
Dave Ramsey: That's wild. What do you do?
Caller: I have no idea what to do. I'm terrified.

@realEstateTrent This is Paretos optimality in practice. 20% of your customers will devour 80% of your time, sounds like you dodged a bullet with this guy. Can you imagine having to deal with that person in a transaction? Move on, next!
English

@joetrades23 ohhh i see. Yeah HOA isn't really a thing in the UK. thankfully. We just have the local councils to deal with, which arguably are far worse. But at least they mostly let us have privacy in our back gardens
English

It’s been a journey. But it came together.

Just wrote a $50k check deposit on this setup for the backyard. Top is in.

@GavinNewsom hes literally just made 4,400 of Space X staff millionaires, some multitudes of that. What have you done to improve anyones situation Gavin?

In 2017 this was voted the best restaurant in the world.
A few years later, with hubris intact, they loudly and famously switched to vegan - for the animals.
Then they realized that their most profitable revenue stream - private events - slowly dried up. Why?
Because vegan, of course.
So last year they quietly added meat back to the menu, to reverse declining profits.
And now, red-blooded filet-eating Texans such as myself will gladly fly to NYC and spend $1,500 for 3 people to eat dinner there.
It was delicious and the service was impeccable, but I won’t be back.
Ain’t nobody got time for a 3.5 hour meal.

@affordablegolf hey guys - bought this @UnderArmour glove 9 days ago. Used it on the range for less then 100 balls today and this is the outcome.. can we do anything here, are these gloves supposed to be disposable?

English

@Tradr_G Been a while Glenn, congrats man. fantastic month

Hard to fathom having Three Hundred k months. Does not seem real sometimes. Not sure if it will last or the new norm. The market is on fire, but still, no matter what, there is nothing easy about trading and putting money on the line.
One needs to really size up to make these gains, which takes buying power and risk. Both of which I have now, I always had the risk part, haha.
I am still -$289,763 red for the year. But it is also amazing being able to dig out of a 1M hole, keep trading, still have enough buying power and not dig a deeper hole... yet.
This could change easily, I still have some deep bags I seem to collect!!
For May I was plus Three hundred nineteen thousand eight hundred fifty-eight which is really great!!
This shit is all verified, however no one questions me anyway. So thanks to everyone out there in our little community where we can share the good and the bad of what we do, learn, grow, dream and prosper in life!!
Sharing a few pics I took recently!!
Cheers to you all!

@realEstateTrent This is very very underrated and unpopular advice. I actively push my anxiety out the way and make the ask. Things happen, it's worth it
English

@Owen0to1 Sorry to tell you mate, but this feeling never really goes away, despite reaching higher financial levels. My parents don't really understand what I do and I don't really ever go into detail. I think many founders feel this way, its part of the game. Keep going
English

I talked to my folks for the first time in a while and I found myself apologizing afterward for being stressed/not really present. I told them the business wasn’t going well because all of my digital marketing was down (Google and Meta), but then I had to explain that things are actually going amazing at the same time.
It is really hard to get that point across to people who haven't experienced this day to day. To them, it sounds like a contradiction. It’s just the reality of growing as fast as I am.
The crazy thing is my nuts are on the chopping block almost every other day. There is always some technical error or equipment issue that threatens to completely derail the momentum I’ve built. I’m making a lot of money and hitting my goals, but I’m also constantly fighting off something that could make it all fall apart.
It is a lonely place to be when you cannot explain your day without sounding like you are losing your mind. But I am realizing that this is just the price of admission for the level I am trying to reach.

@mhp_guy why can't i find the 2nd video on this Chris, did you release it in the end?
English

@brad_valentino @stellarman22 @AwakenedOutlaw dude these plans take off literally 10 minutes from my house. There are people there with ladders against the fences taking photos (most dont post until later in the day out of respect though). I can hear the engines as we speak
English

@stellarman22 @AwakenedOutlaw Y’all think the us military lets you watch the start of a mission?! Hahahaha
English

@db_fink yeah i used to think he was a bit of a dick but he's done some positive/wholesome stuff recently
