Ah joy my Annual Tax Summary has arrived!
65% spent on Welfare, Health, State Pensions and Servicing the debt.
Four years ago 4th spot was Education with Debt servicing in 5th at 7.6%.

#CKN buys North American crude and derivatives oil brokerage Link Group for $80m using cash resources. Immediately earnings enhancing (I’ll bet it is currently..) Good to see not all the cash pile being spaffed on bonuses.

Gas prices in the US have moved up to $3.84/gallon, their highest level since September 2023. The 31% spike over the last month ($2.92/gallon to $3.84/gallon) is the biggest we've seen in the past 30 years.

#MAB1 FY Res. Revenue looks slightly ahead +19.6% with Adj. PBT inline at £36.3m +13.3%. Market share stable at 8.4%. Good momentum into 2026 and inline with expectations despite geopolitical uncertainty as refinancing continues throughout.

#COST announce £45m contract with Severn trent to upgrade Rugby Newbold WWTW running to 2028.
Given the AMP8 projected spend, I suspect one of numerous WWTW and good to see this relationship with Severn Trent stretching back to 2010.

#GDWN foundry expansion seems to be picking up the pace in a planning sense…I guess given the extent of the obvious pre engagement with planners & the amount of construction consultancy cost being incurred it wouldn’t be outrageous to expect an imminent & positive decision
