My career has covered intelligent transport and radio so I tweet on these in varying proportions. Oh, and I like cricket so I sometimes comment on that too!

Southend United v Wealdstone in the Isuzu FA Trophy Final. I think we'll have 50,000 to 60,000 fans at Non-League Finals Day this year.

When I reported on Soccer Saturday, I had great fun doing this game with a bit of reporter/presenter rivalry with the great @JeffStelling, who did describe Freddy as "a class act".

@CJPhillips1982 Hmm. Just walked into my house after a delightful drive home from Aldershot. I miss going to games and them actually happening.

'We have to come to a better way of doing this because it's so late all the time'

@TheBarmyArmy How about "ungrateful" as they ignored the Barmy Army after last Saturday's pitiful capitulation? I was in a different part of the Optus and I thought the BA were superb yet no-one said thank you.
English

Ben Stokes is willing to accept criticism of England's performance in the first Test as "rubbish" but feels labelling his side "arrogant" is a step too far.

@Rajiv1841 Not when you’ve spent a fortune to travel around the world to watch it.
English

Having flown around the world to watch it live, @dannykellywords sums it up with the word “pissweak”.

OK. Two choices. Help me decide. I can... A) go to bed and forget the cricket. B) stay up and be passively-aggressively patronised by Ben Stokes and Brendon McCullum defending that pissweak dog's dinner. #welldoneAustralia

@englandcricket @benstokes38 I travelled to the other side of the world to watch that. Thanks so much. Appreciated.

"I’ll wake up in the morning and still be incredibly disappointed…
"But all of my focus and energy will be going into getting the group back up and moving our thoughts onto Brisbane."

@CalvinBook But Sky couldn’t be arsed to win the rights. Blame whoever runs the show now. Wouldn’t have happened under the late, great Vic Wakeling.
English

@TheBarmyArmy I was the other side of the ground, one of few Poms in my section, but your noise was brilliant. Especially when the wheels were coming off. I’m annoyed the players couldn’t be bothered to come over to thank you.
English

The atmosphere, and support for the team, over the past couple of days was absolutely incredible.
Seeing thousands of England fans singing their hearts out in Perth after eight years away from Australia was truly special.
We are, of course, disappointed with the result, but it's our duty to support the team, through thick and thin.
Four Tests to go. Let's give it everything. 🏴

English

@thefulltoss @SkyCricket 100%. Wouldn’t have happened when Vic Wakeling was in charge.
English

TNT’s coverage wasn’t great but the bottom line is they outbid Sky. That’s @SkyCricket who charge customers a fortune, constantly put up bills, fund the Hundred (damages our Test team) & pretend to have a dedicated cricket channel that doesn’t show the biggest series. Screw Sky.

@ScottHanson Since last season, both our sons have moved out so our family Sunday Red Zone nights near London are no more - but we're still all watching in our own homes (Commanders and Cowboys fans here, Seahawks fan in Cardiff and Chargers one in Essex)
