With support from the @NationalForests & @TurnerFdnInc, SAWS field crew & wilderness rangers worked with @forestservice staff to turn a steep section of the Panther Creek Trail in Cohutta #Wilderness into a rock staircase. In 1 week, this group removed 18 trees & built 162 steps!

Recently @ClubPATC trail volunteers on the #GWJNF worked with @TrailCrews to learn new tools of the trade! Carrying a variety of tools 2 miles up the trail, they repaired a remote section of the Shenandoah Mtn Trail to improve sustainability, drainage and access. #VolunteersRock
