I fell off my bike in August. I'm starting a vlog of my training as I try to get fit again, starting with how unfit am I? youtu.be/BEEcVxA09Qk

@Andy_G_Collie I build it myself using the Zwift customers workout feature. You should be able to do the same using the warm-up ramp. Or DM me and I can send you the file.

@trainalytics Great test. This sounds like a ramp test but without the 20w jumps. Is this a training workout/teat on Zwift or would I need to build this workout myself?

@newkarl1 @USW_SPEX Sorry for the typos. I just finished a ride. Yes it’s a long standing interest of mine. Scientists tend to talk of statistically significant gains. Cyclists typically want to know how much fitter they can get.

@StephenSeiler I agree. I downloaded this yesterday and haven't had a chance to read it yet. But it looks very interesting.

This is a very comprehensive study, chock full of data from Pro cyclists, and taking on some problems in the quantification of "training load" with existing methods. Worth digging into I think. mdpi.com/2076-3417/12/2…

Excited to say that from today onwards I will start a new chapter as coach for @INEOSGrenadiers. Thanks to @TeamDSM for the opportunity and the experiences over the past 3 years. Onwards and upwards.

@yarivyos @Petegun Thank you for your encouragement. Not only for me but anyone who goes or had been through something similar. It means a lot.

@trainalytics @Petegun 10 years ago, road race, the pack went down at speed. Lung, ribs, everything but the collar bone, mearly seperated shoulder. Short term I tried to come back 2 fast. But longer term, I'm 54, and as fit as ever, other then minor loss to age. Keep it up and you'll get there.

Time to exhaustion at FTP varies according to performance level, with pro's lasting 16 min (45%) longer than recreational cyclists on average. doi.org/10.1016/j.jsam…

@sethstarkadder5 @gcntweet @si_richardson Thanks @sethstarkadder Watching myself back I seem to have a bigger suffering grimace than I realised. I'll try and smile more. :-) I don't think there's one "right" way to improve FTP or durability. I will continue to vlog what I do in training - not necessarily an endorsement

@Petegun Oh boy, I was going a lot slower than you and managed to avoid fracturing my skull and scapula as you did. I'm glad to hear you've recovered. Thanks for letting me know about the comments, I think I've fixed that now.

@trainalytics Hi, it will be interesting following your return post accident. Couldn't leave a comment on YouTube. I also recovered from an accident recently, well in Feb 2021 I was racing in a crit when I came off at 55kph, I fractured my skull, C7, clavicle, scapula, 3 ribs and pneumothorax.
