@Peston Are we not in this mess because of the @Conservatives govt. of the 1980's? The policy of sell, sell, sell: water, gas, electricity, railways, housing & so many industries. Selling to the richest bidder & no reinvestment has left us in a truly awful position.

Mordaunt keeps saying Labour wants to return the UK to the disaster of the 1980s. I am finding this quite confusing. Because that was Thatcher’s heyday.

Why have news outlets been saying all day that 70% of leavers would vote leave again. It was based on Question Time Leave audience in Clacton, not proper polling. BBC audience was asked whether Brexit was the right thing to do: 70% still agreed 20% would vote differently 10% were unsure Professional polling: 52.6% think UK was wrong to leave. @Kevin_Maguire We all were asked to pay more NI to help solve the bed blocking care crisis. Apparently It was not the right time because of cost of living crisis. It is always ' not the right time' and therefore the problem will never be fixed. Also too many unnecessary admin roles in NHS.

The NHS cannot become a volunteer service. Labour will abolish the non-dom tax status to train 7,500 more doctors and 10,000 more nurses & midwives a year. The NHS needs doctors and nurses more than the wealthiest need a tax break. theguardian.com/society/2022/d…
