📊 Investor Education & Trust: Reconnecting European Citizens with Finance and Capital Markets
On 17th March, BETTER FINANCE - European Federation of Investors and Financial Services Users hosted an important online discussion on one of the EU's pressing challenges — why millions of European citizens remain hesitant to save and invest, and what can be done about it.
Low financial literacy. Limited trust in institutions. Concerns about fairness and misselling. These barriers persist even as digital finance, neobrokers, and AI-driven tools make investing more accessible than ever.
The event explored how improving financial literacy and restoring retail investor trust are essential steps toward the EU's broader Savings & Investment Union goals.

This episode covers it all — from polar bears and rhinos to money laundering and poly-criminal networks.

A must-read if you're into finance, hubris, or just a great story.

“We are the voice of consumers but I can tell you, it is a minority voice.
“The voice of industry [when responding to consultations] is disproportionate compared to the voice of consumers.”
