We just made Settlement-Gated HTTP real. The x402 playground is now live — a working environment where HTTP requests can require settlement before execution. No accounts. No API keys. No balances.

Your API should not have accounts. HTTP already solved API payments in 1991. Status code 402 Payment Required. We just never finished it. I built a working reference implementation. • weather API • LLM summarizer • paid content • data marketplace Stateless payment-gated HTTP x402 Developer Playground drop eminent

"BSV is just a database!" Yes. The world's most expensive, most secure, most auditable database. Weird flex but okay it works.

@LightBSV Yes but a lot of people do not know how to run things on cmd. We are old school. If it were easy to run a node I would.

@LeonWaidmann @jerallaire Dollar is expensive for machines. You need something really cheap. Like at the scale of pico-pennies.

@apagut @rbzbeijing Let peers run a handcash node with an inbuilt incentive . That is when you have no problem like this where your work is copied.

And never ever given credit publicly... Anyway. We know the real story. My team came up with... - handles instead of crypto addresses - keyless wallets - cloud signing (still unmatched) - nanopayments - company sponsored fees/gas - nfc bitcoin payments - modern PoS terminals

@apagut @Crypto0637 Dude they've been copying your work forever... I was at a conference once and a lightning network CEO told me that they look to handcash for inspiration...

This is sad. This is scary. This is pathetic. This is what large bitcoin accounts have been posting about all day jerking themselves off talking about “Bitcoin payments adoption”. If there is a cap on how much $BTC you can move set in place by a third party you are no longer benefiting from peer to peer permission-less money. This is the literal definition of money that requires a third party. I cannot believe this is a real tweet.

@dangerblue As you receive bitcoin it will be stored in your Square bitcoin wallet. If you'd like to move it into self custody, you'll be able to do so manually (max $15k per day or $50k per week).

@kurtwuckertjr @pepoliopo @CsTominaga Add SPV to the architecture, P2P becomes even simpler&faster. download merkle proofs from miners for utxo's. Sender sends signed utxo along with merkle proofs to the receiver. Receiver 0-conf validates. Provides services. Also broadcasts the tx to the miner for confirmation. Done

@pepoliopo @CsTominaga Yes, those networks all lean on centralized infra. Ethereum runs almost entirely in Infura, for example. I forget which backbone Solana uses, but it’s also a big centralized failure point.

BSV’s mAPI is the key to scaling, it simplifies everything. I don’t need an SPV node; I just use the miner’s signed receipt as proof. Since we rely on honest miners anyway, verifying the Merkle header yourself is just unnecessary overhead. correct? @kurtwuckertjr @CsTominaga

@BitcoinBombadil non-technicals to engage in debate around the metas and stop dragging software implementation details into the debates. This just creates confusion.

I think it is important to point out that Bitcoin is a protocol not a software implementation. I wished Satoshi had taken the time to write a protocol document. Making the reference implementation the protocol was a messy messy mistake. Software implementations are not Bitcoin.
