@philliplede Ignoring the slop aside, I appreciate that my ancestors split open the heads of Indian barbarians and built that towns I and my parents have occupied but it’s difficult to venerate America due to it being the embodiment of anti-civilization.

@philliplede My problem with America (despite being my home country) is that its very essence is the problem. I would even go so far as to say anti-Americanism is more important than anti-Semitism.

“There is nothing to be proud of.” The “RW” accounts on here that post exclusively about Jews dovetail with the progressive Left in an unbridled contempt for America and its founding. They insist that nothing in the entire semiquincentennial span of US history can be celebrated because America has, relatively recently, become occupied by Israel (I think this last point is largely true). Still, how is this any different from leftists who proclaim America’s founding to be forever stained by the sin of slavery and petulantly demand that 1619 be used instead of 1776? July 4th, Independence Day, should at least remind us of what we are working towards: the promise of a sovereign nation that has been lost but not destroyed. How are we supposed to “reclaim” our country while sneering at fellow countrymen for celebrating their heritage? Have we forgotten that it is our heritage too? Any progress toward fixing the problems of the past century must sprout from love of our nation rather than the hatred of another.

What is there even to be proud of in America? How gay it is? How diverse it is? How obese it is? How incoherent it is? How owned by jews it is? There is nothing to be proud of. Something new needs to be built

@thaulos If the Gods are just abstractions and aren’t actually real beings or persons of a sort (however you want to define them philosophically) then everything is just an aesthetic at the end of the day. You need the supernatural in order to make religion compelling I would say.

@thaulos If you take this to its logical conclusion then you end up at a clear absurdity and end up destroying the very thing you want to preserve (tradition, culture, inheritance, sacredness of said things).

There is a very dark part about the neopagan movement that I simply cannot associate with - not believing in an afterlife, no soul, just “living through your descendants” - whatever that means What happened to Valhalla? Since when do pagans not believe in a soul?

@thaulos I’ve always identified as white my whole life. I don’t have much if any affinity or disposition at all towards any African identity of the sort and the cultural inheritance that goes along with it outside of the physical.

@trashbin1914 You could’ve been born a noble Aryan, instead your mother tainted her bloodline and now you are stuck between two worlds and you will never belong in our world, so you will end up identifying more as black in the end as per usual with all mixed race people

Most men have a hard time dating because they think they can approach it like anything else in life. Work hard, improve yourself, treat others well, and you’ll be successful. They don’t understand that women are not rational beings who appreciate or reward effort.

@thegreatdane269 Please, Boorman’s Excalibur is leagues above anything Eggers could ever do.

@Texhnolyze2003 I’ve only kissed one girl once, but it wasn’t as magical as it typically is portrayed. I would describe it as meh.

@unravelmyheart You people don’t want to admit the obvious fact that beauty generally is inherently neotenous, which is why women are seen as more beautiful. The issue with this is that men get pumped with the anti- neoteny hormone (testosterone) at 13 and most men end up looking like incels.
