I would genuinely rather live in a mid-sized town in Pennsylvania or something than ever move to the Dallas suburbs.
Plausibly I'm much more likely to end up in the Dallas suburbs, because jobs, but still. Would be really, really far down my list of ideal places.

@travis_county_ @PollTracker2024 How does this matter lol. It's about turnout patterns then Vs now and the shift that this might show. Yes regional demographics play a role somewhat but don't explain everything nor the complete turnaround of over performance

@Kaiserfranz7490 @PollTracker2024 If you think the demographics/ area between North Texas and East Texas are the same you’re delusional. Northern DFW is way more diverse and had a pronounced minority shift to democrats. White voters in this district were way more Republican.

@travis_county_ @PollTracker2024 It's still against the overall pattern of past Texas special elections like the flip back in December when Dems only flipped it because the gop voters of the first round 3rd place candidate stayed home for example. So yes. Bad sign for dems that gop is more tuned in rn

Remember when Republicans drew Virginia's Congressional map so Black people were packed into one district and said we should be grateful they gave our community this district. NOW they can have one district and see how much they love it.
