@SutterlinDan @jimbelosic We gave up masking our anodized enclosures since it was too time cnsuming. We just laser etch the areas we need for conductivity. The machine shop we use to make the enclosures does the engraving as well.

When you’re getting something manufactured, what process is the biggest pain? I’ll go first: - heat treating (there’s like one guy who’s good and he’s 6 weeks out) - plating/polishing - assembly (usually gotta do this in-house) - welding (we got you now) - packaging - domestic PCBs/PCBA What else?

Headless Mac mini + iPad is a very good combo for managing AI agents. Here’s a quick demo of how I remotely connect, monitor what’s happening, and take over when needed from my iPad

Repeat after me. AI eBooks are THE most reliable path to $10k a month in 2026. No webistes, sales funnel or a big team needed. Only Claude, ChatGPT and 1 hour every day. I’m finally releasing 5+ hours of my paid eBook publishing training for free. Inside: • How to find topics people already pay for • How to outline chapters with ChatGPT • How to write the entire book using Claude • How to design covers that get clicked • How to scale with Amazon KDP ads And many more. Follow + reply "Book" and I’ll send the full system for free. ⏳ Limited to the first 500 comments.

I've made $4.7M with AI. I'm giving away the exact prompts I used to build a full AI agency from scratch in under 2 hours. These prompts will guide you through: • Finding a winning niche • Building an offer people pay for • Go to market strategy • Creating your website • Productizing with AI (ie @Lovable) This took me 5 years and hundreds of thousands of dollars to figure out. Comment "Build" and follow. I'll DM it to you. P.S. This will probably blow up so give me some time to reply.

@emm0sh I like my 3D mouse but hate going back and forth to the keyboard. So I modified a gaming keypad with one. Maximum keyboard shortcuts with the mouse. This is what 3D Connexion should have done.

despite being a CAD nerd i don’t like 3d mice. i've always felt the advantage of having more keybinds was greater than the advantage of spinning the model around via the matrix side effect: i rely on orthographic views more than rotating via mouse. i have ctrl+1-6 bound to them

putting scannable dot matrix codes (similar to QR) on all our tools for tool tracking and offline tool setting big debate on whether we should make the human-readable code right side up in the storage rack or in the machine, what do you think?

The A1 Mini is the best, the build quality is second to none. Honestly it has the best heatbed and alignment system. Add on the nozzle system and how you can cold pull simply by cutting the filament with the lever, then setting the nozzle to 110 (wait for preheat) then 0, then immediately remove it without touching the hot parts and pull the filament out with pliers. I have old nozzles so clean I can see through it. I have yet to wear out a single nozzle.

@BrianRoemmele We called them aperture cards. I had to scan about 200,000 of these a few years ago. Cost about 25 cents a piece to have it done. Luckily they gave us a spreadsheet with the punch card data tied to the scanned image. What a job that was.

Now I have just 73 boxes of this Filmsort Computer Punch Cards with Microfiche cells to test—from a Bell Labs Dumpster in the 1980s I shall endeavor to see if DeepSeek-OCR can read the Punch Card and Microfiche in one go. These cards are one-of-a-kind engineering AI training.

IT FREAKING WORKED! At 4am today I just proved DeepSeek-OCR AI can scan an entire microfiche sheet and not just cells and retain 100% of the data in seconds… AND Have a full understanding of the text/complex drawings and their context. I just changed offline data curation!
