@Pickettburg @caseylevane @MorePerfectUS Damn didn’t know my parents created mathematics, wrote down all of history, learned how the biological functions of a human work, and how the earth orbits in our celestial body.

We've been taught as a society that everything is about money. Every decision made should be centered around the thought "How will this make me/us more money" and we're worse off for it. Some things just shouldn't prioritize money, like politics and, especially, youth sports.
More Perfect Union@MorePerfectUS

NEW: Youth sports is now costing parents as much as $25,000 a year. Private equity and corporations are turning a childhood pastime into something only the wealthy can afford. Youth sports has become a $40 billion industry, and the steep costs are crushing American families.

I walk around every day seeing nothing but rot. Grocery stores Schools Roads Buildings Apartments Hospitals Neighborhoods Highways Rivers Government Everything. How could my generation not feel apathetic? Even if attempted, these problems won’t be fixed for ~10 years min.
ɛ̃fini@FalcomEnjoyer

"Why are Zoomers not doing things?" "Why are Zoomers so apathetic?" "Why are Zoomers so stunted?" Nothing will come of this drivel until there is a reckoning with how awful it has been to come of age within the last ~10 years. Zoomers have never known anything but a wasteland.

@LakerGMC_ @AlHendiify If they are run so inefficiently why hasn’t every forest in the nation burnt down? The Forest Service (Which is being shutdown currently) has been operating and protecting them for over 120 years. If this is super inefficient why hasn’t this been handed over to the private sector

@KenPoling @Mike_Ploucha @RachelCoyleOhio This is the part I just can’t understand. It genuinely destroys modern day countries to have an uneducated populace. How does this make sense? You NEED to have as close to 100% of the population educated to stay competitive on the global and/or National stage.

@Mike_Ploucha @RachelCoyleOhio Because they don't want an educated populace. They lose elections when people are educated, which means they lose their corporate bribe money.

We fought to stop this bill for over a year. Thousands of Ohioans (a record number!) testified against it. We warned legislators that Ohio would lose students and educators and $$$ if it passed Statehouse Republicans ignored us. They always do. They need to lose in November

Workers at Conn Selmer's Eastlake, Ohio, plant are speaking out against the brass-instrument company's billionaire owner and investor, John Paulson. Paulson is offshoring nearly all of Eastlake's output to China, cutting 150 jobs. Paulson, a Trump ally who hosted a fundraiser that raised $50.5 million during Trump's 2024 campaign, once publicly criticized U.S. companies for offshoring jobs.

@comuflauta How about this. You completely ignore market prices it’s bullshit anyway. You charge 10% more than what it costs you to run the place. It costs you $500 dollars /month? Charge $550. 750? 825. Easy simple.

—Tú no has sudado nada.

I am sick of you lying to Ohio residents @VivekGRamaswamy Rolling back property taxes is a tax cut for the rich and a disaster for everyone else. How do you think we fund roads, schools, and all the other necessities? You're just lying to Ohioans to get votes. Even the Governor knows you're lying.

@molly1995_b @RachelCoyleOhio @VivekGRamaswamy I see older brothers and sisters sent off to war. And brought home in coffins. Wars for no good purpose other than money for the boomers. I see the rich grow fat with untold amounts of wealth. Whilst children are homeless and starving.

@molly1995_b @RachelCoyleOhio @VivekGRamaswamy I have spent 20+ years of my life seeing nothing but genocide, death, and suffering. No benefits my family and friends. I see no gains. No better country. I see waste. Disrepair. I see whole swaths of the country rusted and falling apart. The older gen made these policies.
