@PresidentP18700 @hollowearthterf That's definitely not true, for the type of a man you describe, one who doesn't care about the baby or it's mother's well-being, it is much more beneficial to be pro-abortion - nay, to encourage it.

If tomorrow a magic pill came out that allowed men to grow a uterus and thus get pregnant and have a baby, do you think they would be lining up at Walgreens to take it so they can fix the birth rate they pretend to care so much about?

Question for you guys , our cat has gone 💯 psycho on us out of nowhere for the 3rd time in a month. We’re talking try to climb you and scratch your eyes out, wailing and growling. No one is near her she just snaps and attacks us. She isn’t super nice to begin with but this is insane. Full blown attack….. terrifying. Anyone ever have this issue ? What was the cause?

@farmingandJesus Not sure how to feel about this post: On one hand Lizzie is doing the classic atheist "Jesus was a brown Arab from Middle east he would hate you chud!" But on the other hand we love to see Lizzie praise the Virgin Mary so 🥰 As a Catholic I'm conflicted 😂

I wonder if Mary knew that she was depicted as a super British looking white lady with sparkles she would laugh because this is more what she probably looked like 👇🏻 Bet she was pretty like this. Our faithful sister in Christ 🥰 blessed!

KofC is great. It's also a HUGE mistake for the Catholic fraternal organization to wade into this political fracas -- and I have been defending the Knights for MANY years. See my 2018 article about Kamala Harris and her anti-Catholic, anti-KofC bigotry: realclearpolitics.com/articles/2018/…
Knights of Columbus@KofC

Statement From Supreme Knight Patrick Kelly: In recent days, many Catholics and other people of goodwill have been deeply disappointed by the disparaging comments directed at Pope Leo XIV by the President of the United States. The Successor of Saint Peter is not a politician — he is the Vicar of Christ, entrusted with proclaiming the Gospel and shepherding souls. The Knights of Columbus has always stood in solidarity with the Holy Father, recognizing in him a spiritual father who calls the world not to division, but to unity, not to conflict, but to peace. In this moment, we reaffirm that commitment with clarity and conviction. At the same time, we recognize that faithful Catholics can and do engage vigorously in the public square, and that nations have a right and duty to safeguard the security of their own people — always in accordance with the demands of justice and the pursuit of peace. The Church does not ask Catholics to withdraw from civic life, but to engage with and elevate it — bringing to our civic dialogue the light of truth, respect for the dignity of every human person, and a steadfast concern for the common good. Pope Leo XIV has consistently called for peace, dialogue, and restraint in a world marked by war and suffering. The Holy Father’s words are not political talking points — they are reflections of the Gospel itself. Whether one agrees or disagrees with particular policy judgments, the Holy Father’s prophetic voice deserves to be heard with respect and engaged seriously. As Knights, we are called to be men of unity, as followers of Christ and patriotic citizens. I encourage all Knights of Columbus to pray for the Holy Father, to pray for civic leaders, and to pray for peace and those working to achieve it. And let us recommit ourselves to charity in our public discourse. May we be known not for echoing the divisions of our time, but for healing them. In a moment of tension, the path forward is not louder conflict, but deeper fidelity — to truth, to charity, and to the Gospel.

LOL 😭😭 If this was true, why wouldn’t they be campaigning for men’s turn to be confined to the home & women to take on the noble sacrifice of the right to a career & financial autonomy at last?
GnosisWolf@GnosisWolf

To each their own, but Men used to sacrifice all their time at work so Women could focus on and sacrifice for the family. I doubt careers are more fulfilling than time with kids, and I know paying strangers to raise and teach them is not a good idea. PsyOp of the century?👇

@AuronMacintyre While rhetoric is important, if said importance of rhetoric makes you not speak up for what you believe - that doesn't make you win, it makes you lose twice.

One of the most important political skills is having the emotional continence to control which discourse you engage in Once you understand that rhetoric is less about being right than winning the crowd you can decide how to distribute your resources

In my life I’ve never met a man who doesn’t love Master and Commander. I cannot even comprehend this. “Pretentious”? Why? Because Iron Man never shows up? Because the ship doesn’t turn into a Transformer? Because the script was written above a 6th grade reading level?
Christopher Michael@Da_IrishGuy13

@nwilliams030 @Prolife_Sam Absolutely, I think both of you are correct. That's the beauty of motherhood. My wife would not eat a certain thing in a hearbeat if it *actually* meant a sizeable danger to her baby. Does that mean she didn't eat a lot of these things you guys talk about? Hell no 😂

@tree_bang @Prolife_Sam I feel like you might be missing a bit of context here - part of the initial discussion that promoted this was not following some pregnancy reccomendations occasionally like not eating deli meat. I think that is a very fine tradeoff to make.

one thing i've really found helpful about watching a number of larger families up close is that both parents obviously love and sacrifice for their children enormously but there's a clear understanding that sacrificing everything for your children is not a reasonable way to live

@nwilliams030 @Prolife_Sam Putting the well being of your children before your desires is pretty normal thing for parents to believe, God knows I do! (Heck, I even believe that about my wife!) Seems pretty sad that even THIS is something that people argue against nowadays.

@Prolife_Sam “It’s a good rule for parents to put the well being of their children before their own desires” - I disagree. When you have multiple children, the well being of the household is never as simple as putting one child’s well being above your own, and is often undercut by it

When Black people say something is racist, you listen. When LGBTQ+ people say something is homophobic, you listen. When Muslims say something is Islamaphobic, you listen. So why do you gaslight, speak over, and ignore Jews when we say something is antisemitic?

@Noahpinion A statue of a random sanitation *worker* or an unnamed *soldier* and this statue are literally nothing alike, I don't know why you used them in the same group. If anything, I would argue this statue is throwing shade at such people - note the hands in pockets

Call me crazy but I love these statues. I fucking love normal average people, and I love all those old statues of random sanitation workers or "unknown soldiers" or whatever. It's average unremarkable people who carry civilization on their backs, day in and day out.

Another way to look at this is that under Capitalism people make food not out of their benevolence (which there often isn't much of), but out of their self-interest (which there is plenty of). We speak of advantage, not necessity. That's Adam Smith right there.
