"Dude, where's my MAV!?" Went 9-0 with GR Clan at the Santiago, Chile Regionals 2026!!! It was an AMAZING event with 375 players, and making it to the Finals was a real challenge. Running 6 Bases and 12 Pilots seemed a bit odd at first, but it actually makes total sense since Clan IS a reactive deck. You’re constantly trying to punish your opponent turn after turn, so having 1/3 of the deck made up of Burst effects helps you draw more cards and keep the engine going. As for the metagame, everyone was expecting a lot of aggro decks like Blurple and OYW, and the Wing decks were clearly the best prepared for it. I believe we had 4 Wing decks in the Top 8. The matchups: 1 - Destiny/Barbatos - 🎲⭕ - First 2 - The-O - 🎲❌ - First 3 - Justice RW - 🎲❌ - First 4 - Justice Zeon - 🎲⭕ - First 5 - Victory/Norn - 🎲⭕ - First 6 - Destiny/Barbatos - 🎲⭕ - First 7 - Wing/Altron - 🎲⭕ - First 8 - Wing/(?) - 🎲❌ - First 9 - Wing - 🎲⭕ - First GR Clan has a lot of tools to deal with aggro and wide boards, while also being able to handle taller decks like Wing, Justice, and Destiny. It’s definitely not a top meta deck and it has its flaws, but this deck shines in the midgame like no other. A huge shoutout to GRADD Cards — we have a wonderful BANDAI games community there, filled with incredibly talented Gundam and One Piece players. Congrats to Guilherme Bonow as well! The Finals were one of the best Gundam CG matches I’ve ever played, and a perfect example of why this game is SO GOOD! And thanks to the entire Chilean community for welcoming us — you guys are amazing too! @Rusty_01_91 @RedZoneRogue I've already elaborated on this in more detail elsewhere, but this deck is well prepared to take on aggro decks; it's really very close to a 50-50 match. Especially OYW.

@RedZoneRogue I could agree if it wasn’t scissors beats rock AND paper Aggro beats out mid range and control rather handedly atm It’s not like playing Fire in Pokemon pocket and dodging seeing Water the entire day, considering there’s many different types.

@EspiraTV I believe it was more of a response to the Montreal regional tournament last week than a local preference. At least that's the impression I got from talking to the players and looking at the lists.

@umeboshi_bs Blind always first, second only if i know it's against the-o The mulligan it's a little more complicated, but usually i tend to keep hands with no bases / max 1 pilot Gelgoog and GD03 Red Gundam are the best low cost units to keep Gfred is also an optimal keep if possible

@treminho590 What are your criteria for choosing to go first or second, and for deciding whether to mulligan? I always choose to go second and mulligan aggressively to try to get Machu in my opening hand.

@umeboshi_bs Its a solid list, used a similar one during GD03 format. I really miss using the Highmanuver RedGundam, its so strong into many matchups

@treminho590 Thank you for your reply. I also love playing Clan decks. My list looks something like this. It’s really impressive that you’ve been getting results with a Clan deck. I’ll definitely use your list as a reference.

@gcgsuisei The goal with the list i used is link as often as possible, so cutting non-link units was needed. The only one that remains was 2 Rick dom cuz he's OP :D

@gcgsuisei This one? For now i think it's just not good. In GD03 environment i was playing 4x all the time with 4x Rick Dom, so you can explode him into something. For now, it's no good against blockers or Zeong, free target to Amuro decks, and can be pinged to death

@Zeniatus If u going second, don't be afraid to use the ex resource early, otherwise, you'll lose with him at the table.

@Zeniatus For the aggro matchup, if they don't explode with a god hand its pretty much 50-50, keep a low cost hand, dont be afraid to slap Nyaan and Shuji into your units only for the stats. Its fine taking 4-5 damage as it will give you draw during the game

@treminho590 Congratulations! As the rounds progressed, I heard about someone playing in a clan who was winning a lot of games. You even beat one of my friends (he use victory norn) Then I watched your last game on stream and was very excited. Well deserved first place! 🛐

@Kizer_Ken @grimgringunner @EspiraTV Sorry, i wanted to say "yeah, ive dodged them all" as i didnt face any, but a lot of testing was involved before the tournament. The match often goes to a state like clan w 0 zero life and a base, but the board controled, and the....(1)
