Dear BJP supporters in Mumbai, Finally for the FIRST time in 66 years after, the formation of the state of Maharashtra, our party @BJP4Mumbai would have its' own Mayor in the Brihanmumbai Mumbai Corporation aka #BMC . It took 66 years of hardwork, efforts, tears, blood and sweat of selfless karyakartas of RSS/Jan Sangh/BJP to reach at this height. 66 years back, our Karyakartas had bare minimum resources to travel from one place to another place for campaigning. They travelled in bus, trains, trams, bicycles and even went on foot from one place to another place carrying party's flag, ideology and programme. Our leaders and karyakartas never got disheartened, dejected or depressed after party did not do well in elections after elections.. They worked more harder and raised people's issues more vociferously..Finally, we won the respect and trust of the people of Mumbai and rest of the Maharashtra.. In 1995, it was the 1st time, BJP got an opportunity to show people of Maharashtra especially residents of Mumbai, its' people centric development model and good governance.. We tried to win #BMC in 2017 on our own but, could not succeed because, decision was taken 20 days before the polls and we did not even had 227 candidates to field..Nevertheless, we worked hard and secured 82 Wards..A tad behind SLP Shiv Sena.. After 9 years, #BMC elections took place again and, we had development work of Narendra Modi and Devendra Fadanvis to, show to the people of Mumbai. Most importantly, we have won the trust and confidence of the people of Mumbai as reflected in the results of #BMC declared yesterday. People of Mumbai have reposed their faith in our governance model.. Now the onus is on us to replicate our alliance's good governance model both at the Centre and the State at, Mumbai city level and make Mumbaikars happy. Now we have a Triple engine govt in #BMC ..We have to fulfill Mumbaikar's expectations from us. No excuse would be tolerated. Mumbai belongs to everyone who accepts, adopts and assimilate Mumbai's rich culture, customs and Marathi language. Anyone who contributes towards protection, preservation and progression of rich Maharashtrian culture, customs, Marathi language and above all Marathi Asmita is a MUMBAIKAR.. Jai Bhavani, Jai Shivaji. Jai Hind, Jai Maharashtra.

This man is a perfect example of how mobocracy is more powerful than democracy in India. Electorally, he is irrelevant. Despite two decades in politics as the MNS chief and claiming to represent the Marathi manoos, he holds zero seats in the Lok Sabha, Rajya Sabha, Maharashtra Assembly, or the Legislative Council. Everywhere big zero. The only reason he is still relevant is because he can organise a mob of a few hundred to a few thousand people who bully and harass others, while the elected government stays quiet over it. Election after election, Maharashtrians have rejected him and his politics. It is time, Shri @Dev_Fadnavis, to shed the fear of reverse polarisation and ensure that any act of intimidation or goonery, by MNS or anyone else, is dealt with firmly under the law.

Modi's criticism can be based on your expectations from him, and not on how Congress would have fared in this situation. Congress stands nowhere. Congress rule (and even BJP under Atal) over the years made us believe that terror attacks are a normal part of life and "Hum is kayartapoorna harkat ki ninda karte hain aur agar Pakistan ko lagta hai ki isse woh hamara hausla tod payega to yeh uski bhool hai" is a befitting response to them. We did nothing after 26/11, despite the whole world being on our side. We instead went on to issue a joint statement that Pakistan is also a victim of terror. Even 1971. Indira split Pakistan into two. Ok! But what did that actually achieve for India? Now, we have two Pakistans. The Indian Army delivered a massive victory and handed the govt unprecedented leverage, 93,000 Pakistani POWs and occupied territory. With that kind of bargaining power, we could have taken back PoK or settled the Kashmir issue once and for all. But it was all squandered. The govt failed to convert military success into long-term strategic advantage, and that failure is undeniable. For the first time in 54 years, we crossed the IB and targeted Pakistan's military establishments in response to a terror attack. It wouldn't have happened under Congress rule. I know this isn't enough, but saying "Indira hoti to yeh hota, woh hota" is unfair.
