No, but Canadian taxpayers gave $8.5 million to the United Nations to “establish an International Indigenous-led Fire Adaptation Network,” and “increase access to gender-responsive Integrated Fire Management training.” How’s that working out for us?

I am delighted that @BraedenCaley will be our Liberal Candidate in North Vancouver—Capilano. Our new government is building big in B.C. and across Canada. Braeden has the experience, expertise, and unrelenting dedication we need to drive this work forward and deliver for British Columbians.

Extreme heat waves and record-breaking dry conditions are resulting in one of the most intense wildfire seasons in Canadian history. The fires are especially devastating in Northwestern Ontario, where more than 10 communities have already been evacuated. In response to the devastating fires, Canada is taking an all-hands-on-deck approach. More than 5,300 firefighting personnel have been deployed across the country. Nearly 300 aircraft are in the field — from waterbombers and helicopters to evacuation aircraft. We are leveraging data, drones, new technology, and advanced thermal imaging to support real-time detection and mitigation efforts. On behalf of Canadians, I extend my gratitude to the first responders and volunteers who are on the frontlines. We will mobilise every resource needed to keep Canadians safe.

Most Canadians are worried about paying the bills, finding a good job, and building a future for their kids. An elected MP thought it was more important to post a photo celebrating an insult aimed at a political opponent. That's a problem. Politics has become less about solving problems and more about collecting likes from people who already agree with you. Whether you support @ABDanielleSmith or not is beside the point. Canadians deserve representatives who can debate ideas without cheering on contempt borne from public tantrums. When politicians start chasing applause instead of results, it's ordinary Canadians who end up paying the bill, every single time. #cdnpoli #ableg #CanadianPolitics #Leadership @HMcPhersonNDP #NeverNDP
