@TheCartelDel You can't make nostalgia bait about the 2020s because it's still happening. The people who lead game studios grew up in the 80s/90s. When people who grew up in the 2010s/2020s start leading game studios then we'll probably start seeing nostalgia bait for that era. Patience.

Great point. It's lovely to enjoy the nostalgia of Stranger Things, Arcade Paradise, and Mixtape. But the 80/90s made movies about the 80/90s, and the 2000s made games about being in the 2000s. Is it safe to request some game titles about about living in the 2020s without making this a Waffles vs Pancakes discourse?

Hablan de llegar a más jugadores, de renovarse, pero no contemplan expandirse a más idiomas por mucho que miles de jugadores se lo hayamos pedido ya de mil formas distintas durante muchos años. La expansión pinta genial, la collab con Evangelion una locura, todos los cambios seguro que son increíbles y se nota que han trabajado como locos pero no son capaces de observar la decepción recurrente que es que sus jugadores en toda Latinoamérica, Brasil, Portugal, España, Italia, Grecia y tantos países con enormes playerbases tienen que experimentar con cada implementación y el gran agujero en el pantalón que tienen al omitirles cada vez, cada tres años. Siento ser la nota discordante pero hay que hablar las cosas y darles un altavoz para que les llegue y sepan que tanto como quieren cuidar a su playerbase, han estado fallando a una enorme parte de ella durante 13 largos años y donde podrían tener un incremento masivo y exponencial en sus números, lo que tienen es un leak e imposibilidad total de llegar a mucho público por su decisión de no expandir sus idiomas. Una vez más no puedo evitar estar decepcionado.

@StarkyTheSald I think this is another case of being too parasocial with a character and not being able to look at the character as a part of a story that the author is trying to tell. Let go of your infatuation with him and be a bit more open to what fujimoto might be saying with this ending

The thing is despite this being an angle the story takes where it punishes denji, it's not ENTIRELY his fault, and a lot of his suffering was pushed and forced by outside forces just due to him being chainsaw man. Because of this, I think he deserves a chance for a good ending

@KuroSekaiAnime It's pretty obvious that the point is to align those old games to the gameplay and aesthetic preferences of modern audiences. The only reason you'd be stumped by this question is if you don't want to admit that the gameplay and presentation of that era have gone out of fashion

@AwestruckVox the revelation that even when he was at his happiest, when he was with reze, with his family, with asa, his friends denji was still unhappy breaks my heart. denji was hungry. he kept wanting more and more. pochita was satisfied, but denji wasnt. he never is. he never will be.

Will people be able to accept that Denji DOES have an arc in Part 2…it’s just a negative one? He starts it on top of the world. Everyone in Japan loves Chainsaw Man. He’s thinking for himself. He’s having his cake and eat it too. But once no longer being CSM becomes a possibility, he slips back into old habits. His hypersexual tendencies start creeping back in more and more. He gave into people he KNEW were manipulating him. His selfish desires end up costing him everything. He laments how he’s always thinking with his dick when searching for Nayuta. And thinking with his dick ultimately cost him Pochita. Now Part 2’s ending in a place where no one loves CSM because no one remembers CSM. He’s back to being at rock bottom. And he won’t even remember what he had.

The author is conveying a message through this story and has no obligation to tailor the story around readers who don't have the stomach to engage with that message
