@tnavguy In most cases I use WorkDate() because of "what happens of you do it in another day"-Senarios. Today mostly for "log"-Fields back in the days.

#bcalhelp just curious. how do you decide whether to use WorkDate() vs Today()?

@FaranMahboob @GayanSergio @gdrenteria okay, Sound like something for a Single Instance Codeunit. Click on the hyper link, get the token and save it in a Single Instance Codeunit. Every Request use the same. The Update of the Page is tricky. I think only solvable with a timer :/

#BCALHelp #d365 Is there any alternative of background tasks in BC 14, I want to send a consent request to external service and based upon its result, I want to update wizard/navigation page ? Any input will be helpful.

@FaranMahboob @GayanSergio @gdrenteria An very specific example :D And a bit more that "alternative to background task". If I got that right, the click on the hyperlink generates the token that the navigation page needs? Or did the page needs the token from the "background codeunit"?

@GayanSergio @gdrenteria Hi thanks but background tasks are not available in BC14, task scheduler, basically runs job queue and one minute must be elapsed between runs of job queue, and start session runs codeunit without UI. I need a workaround for background task.

I From time to time I think about "formating standards". Years ago I start local procedures with a lower Letter. But it "feels" wrong in AL. Because of the standard.

@KarolakNatalie @trickynamics @TheDoubleH Same old debate! Before it was lboolIsSuccess, grecSalesHeader. Now fields with or without spaces 😁. An organization should pick a dev guideline and stick to it. Mine is sticking to the old fashion: fields with spaces like the standard BC🙈

My Dinosaur 🦖 mind would never create a field name with an underscore. But nice to know!

@trickynamics @TheDoubleH What I like about (only) fields being written with spaces, is that I can easily determine whether MyRec."Is a field" or MyRec.IsAProcedure - provided it consists of more than one word ;-)
