HEARTBREAKING: Northern Iowa tight end Parker Sutherland tragically has died after working out during the off-season. Parker was only 18 years old and suffered a medical emergency. Sutherland was a 3-sport athlete at Iowa City High School and was loved by all his teammates. 🕊️

I love you 88! You lived life with an infectious attitude and a contagious energy. You never met a stranger, everyone was your friend, and you embodied the word teammate. You were a son to everyone who coached you. We will carry on your legacy forever.

UNI TE Parker Sutherland deserves to be remembered forever… Back in HS, Parker caught a crazy two point conversion, and immediately shouted out his nana for her birthday. A great ball player, but an even greater person.
