i feel stuck between keeping the scope rly small for this game, and continuing to push the scope out bit by bit. i'm having fun, but also i get itches to finish so i can work on my other ideas too

manually vertex painting lighting in blender is rly fun. it's techniques like this that allowed games like mario kart to ship on the wii with only 88mb of memory, and i love it

Whenever I read these tech companies advertising giving (cloud) AI full access to your computers file systems, mouse cursors, display, etc as features… I feel like we have just thrown away every single basic computer privacy/safety foundation built since… FOREVER!? So Weird

the funniest part is that i've been using unity for like 2+ years professionally now, and this is the first time i'm writing a char/cam controller from scratch :p mayb that'll help with someone's imposter syndrome! (and next you should uninstall this app)

i'm finding relying on unity's baby abstractions for them are actually making it a bit harder for me to achieve what i want lol. it feels stronger than roblox's babying somehow? the warning unity left for direct modification is funny too. mayb i should just watch freya's vids

quaternions are kinda hard. im trying to see if i can get a camera that feels a little bit intentionally janky and unsmooth, while also not being annoying and motion sickness inducing. tomorrow, i shall try again..
