@CPtraveller I drove a rented MG SUV in South Australia in Jan, hit a kangaroo, wiped out the entire front end, $14,000. Insurance came to the rescue.

I’ve driven two rented SUVs in the past year and I can’t believe how tiny the boots are. Couldn’t fit two suitcases in a Hyundai Kona. There’s less space than a hatchback. Why do these cars exist?

Landed last night at Sydney coming in from Doha and we waited in a parked aircraft for 25 minutes, doors shut while paperwork got sorted. Turkmenistan, Russia, India, China - park the bird and the doors pop open as soon as the airbridge connects.

@CPtraveller The DPD is a total turdfest. Just flew in from Rome and there were Aussies returning at the airport who didn’t even know they didn’t have to complete. Why don’t they tell that to travellers when they leave?

I don’t know why you have to rescan all the same documents for the Digital Passenger Declaration App again when you’ve already submitted them to Border Force from a previous trip.

@TravellerAU Gold Coast airport has them as well - might have helped avoid that unholy mess that’s been happening at Sydney over Easter.

@jonostrower @CPtraveller That's probably going to happen, but the US, Europe and Japan have USD350 billion of Russia's currency reserves, and that's a pretty solid fund to compensate for those missing aircraft.

The nationalization of ~500 aircraft is underway inside Russia. If completed, it will be the largest single civil fleet destruction activity in the history of aviation. These aircraft will never operate as part of the global fleet again.
