@CPtraveller I drove a rented MG SUV in South Australia in Jan, hit a kangaroo, wiped out the entire front end, $14,000. Insurance came to the rescue.

I’ve driven two rented SUVs in the past year and I can’t believe how tiny the boots are. Couldn’t fit two suitcases in a Hyundai Kona. There’s less space than a hatchback. Why do these cars exist?

Australia’s military incursion in Afghanistan cost $1.3 million per day. We are now giving just $1 million in aid following the earthquake that killed over 1000. Beyond disgusting.

@Milliganreports @SydneyAirport Don’t let the truth get in the way…..EVERY passenger for a pat down is always asked if they want a private room. 90% say no and elect for it in public. You said no and now want to make it an issue. Just grandstanding

I’m @SydneyAirport & at new full-body security screening was made to take off fitted business jacket (only had little camisole underneath). Have never had this happen anywhere. Man in front, in big bulky jumper, not made to change. It was embarrassing, uncomfortable, creepy 1/

Liberal frontbencher #HollieHughes is again running the line that the Labor government has “no mandate.” Citing the ALP primary vote, she says “68% of people voted for somebody else.” This appears now to be a consistent line.

@CPtraveller A lot of Helloworld agents were ATAS members. People think they’re safe booking with an ATAS member because that’s the ATAS line and it’s a macroturd.

A Sydney man who booked $37,250 worth of flights through Member Benefits Australia and a Melbourne woman who booked $24,082 worth of flights and accommodation through Helloworld are among the customers who face the prospect of not getting any money back. theage.com.au/business/consu…

Landed last night at Sydney coming in from Doha and we waited in a parked aircraft for 25 minutes, doors shut while paperwork got sorted. Turkmenistan, Russia, India, China - park the bird and the doors pop open as soon as the airbridge connects.

@CPtraveller The DPD is a total turdfest. Just flew in from Rome and there were Aussies returning at the airport who didn’t even know they didn’t have to complete. Why don’t they tell that to travellers when they leave?

I don’t know why you have to rescan all the same documents for the Digital Passenger Declaration App again when you’ve already submitted them to Border Force from a previous trip.

@TravellerAU Gold Coast airport has them as well - might have helped avoid that unholy mess that’s been happening at Sydney over Easter.

The new scanners can cut waiting times by up to 50%. Melbourne Airport installed them at T4 in 2019, but that’s all, and Sydney Airport has none. Where are they? traveller.com.au/australian-air…

@TravellerAU I used to ride pillion on my dad's AJS500 single when I was about five. Some of the happiest days of my life. No wonder those kids are beaming.

@Ageinvestigates And now every person in the country knows the case and it will be impossible to get an impartial jury. I'm convinced that was the entire reason for this defamation case.

Key take-away from Ben Roberts-Smith case today: the ‘malicious rumours’ BRS says informed our reporting were in fact extremely serious, credible war crimes allegations dedicated SAS veterans fought hard to get investigated. As they now are by two law enforcement agencies.

@jonostrower @CPtraveller That's probably going to happen, but the US, Europe and Japan have USD350 billion of Russia's currency reserves, and that's a pretty solid fund to compensate for those missing aircraft.

@CPtraveller I wrote the story the gent is objecting to. You shouldn’t jaywalk but…shouldn’t speed but…and I don’t have any problem fastening my seatbelt when I’m prone so…
