They were not trans, they were incels. They hated women. Their hatred for women was only surpassed by their hatred for Jews. They hated Black people. They hated all immigrants. They hated gay and trans people. They were not MAGA. They did not like Trump, and they did not identify with the right. They openly encouraged the left to take out Trump and JD Vance. How did we reach such an insane level of radicalization that literal kids are carrying out attacks and then taking their own lives afterward?

@YoungPenitent Not ideal. I converted in ‘09. From ‘09-‘21, I was the only convert at my parish. I’m just happy to finally see some spark of interest in the Faith. This will be bumpy, but the Holy Spirit will sort it out.

What Fr. Jonathan is missing is that "Orthobros" spend many hours per day consuming content online, while they are only with their priest a few hours per week, if that. The internet has an outsized influence on the spiritual lives of these young men.
