@slav_metalurges Darren inspired , motivated, calmed, cajoled , supported and led with love. We all knew him differently and to varying degrees but one constant remains- we all mourn him. The true measure of a man is the number who mourn him. @drdagly will never be forgotten

I said my final goodbyes to Darren yesterday. I thanked him for being in my life, for teaching me to live fully and with abandon. Gone too soon but the lessons he taught us will last us a lifetime.

@Peaches26481974 @slav_metalurges @drdagly Darren and his incredible ICU colleagues treated my mom in 2011. They were a group of doctors that forever set the bar high . I cannot praise their care enough. Darren and @the_dpg treated the person not the illness and Darren lived that every day .❤️

@slav_metalurges @drdagly I was a little grumpy when I first met Dr.Markland years ago because I had to drive my mom to see another Doctor. The way Dr.Markland made me feel and the way he looked at my mom. I was forever changed. Dr.Markland ment so much to us. Thinking of his family and friends ❤️

We went and brought Julia and the boys some food yesterday afternoon. We had a glass of wine and a visit in the temple. I think @drdagly would be happy how much the community is rallying around his family. ❤️

Because messaging is now coming out officially, I am posting to confirm that our close friend and colleague @drdagly, Darren Markland, died yesterday. As a close colleague and friend, I know that he would only want communities to come together around something like this.
