Looking at twitter for the first time in a long while, and I only recognize about half of the people in my timeline. What on earth happened here?

@EngineerJohnO Certainly not, but some stats seem out of whack. The VP/exec remote stats seem wild to me. Also, how does a facilities person work remotely? The company that produced this hired a consultant, but has a vested interest in slanting things in a particular direction

@tristans Not all company cultures are created equal, nor can handle remote work. Data is also not solely relegated to tech companies.

@united What if I worked third shift and was trying to get to a new opportunity? Cancelling like this when you knew in advance what was going on was not only inconsiderate, it was inhumane.

@united More concerned about the lost time with my family and the stress of learning this roughly 12 hours before I fly to start a new job. You had a secondary flight very early tomorrow morning.

@benjammingh The benefits to a dual boiler (as I see them) are better temperature control (no temp surfing like you’d do with an HX), multitasking (steam while you pull the shot), and recovery (so you can make several drinks in a row). In all you’ll make better coffee more easily with a DB.

@tristans I’d prefer a dual boiler but the only milk coffee I care about is flat whites… PID controlled seems to be an obvious choice too.

Coffee nerds, is the Breville BES870XL actually the My First Espresso machine I want? I don’t want the Rancilio Silvia, I do sadly care about milk.

@benjammingh @stormsweeper Pretty much anything based on the e61 group is going to be fairly bombproof (Mara, Bianca). Maybe consider Rocket as well. I use and love an Expobar. Just don’t forget to budget for a grinder (basically, the best Baratza you can afford is a good bet).
