He asked if he could change into more "HAMSTER (how he pronounces handsome)" clothes & take more pictures!! We told him there's people that get paid to do that for a living called models. @Delavegalaw @GSmokesweed1 I can’t get up from the floor by myself or with just my wife’s help at all on the best of days. Since I fell on Sunday jamming a few fingers and banging my ribs on the edge of the tub and my knees on the floor getting up from my chair or my bed is tough but I remember.

This is unrelated to anything, but remember lying on your stomach on the floor as a five year old watching cartoons? And then whenever you needed to go get something, like a little snack, you just popped up and it required no effort at all? Imagine trying to do that now????

@tatertotsconor Which is why, when my younger son was going to be born by scheduled c-section and the first possible date was April 1st, I decided I would deal with the all day “morning” sickness for an extra day.

I had always wondered why I didn’t remember it happening though I knew it was one part of the horrors of racism in our country. I just decided that since I would have been 3 or 4 at the time I can excuse myself.

@tatertotsconor I definitely get that. Since my surgery in August it was almost 6 months until I could occasionally walk from my chair or bed to the bathroom AND the kitchen without having to sit in between. I can feel so proud of myself and grateful for something that seems so simple.

This may sound like toxic positivity bullshit… but the one thing I can say about having intense chronic pain that sometimes debilitates me is the intensity with which I appreciate the moments the pain leaves me again. I really do. You don’t know what you’ve got til it’s gone.
