@Plinz @AnamarijaML @garrytan There are significant pragmatic issues with the implementation of wealth/asset taxes, but these should not obscure their in-principle fairness and efficiency. Eg If the US existed only to protect the assets of its denizens, what would be the equitable basis for allocating fees?

@AnamarijaML @garrytan The point is that this money is not castles, banquets and courtesans but the machines that produce goods, services, innovation, employment and tax revenue. Dismantling these machines to sell them to pay taxes makes everyone worse off
