A snippet of the ISWIS podcast came across my TL yesterday, and I was lost for words. I don't know if the hosts were trolling or don't understand conditional probability. If the life expectancy of men in Nigeria is 52, that figure takes into account those that die very early in life. If you meet a man that is 30-40 years old, his life expectancy can't also be 52. I hope the hosts know this and were just trolling.
