@troutish OK, calm down. I absolutely agree that rich people need to cut emissions! But having spent 30 years living a no meat, no car, low-impact life (& only travelled once overseas), I want to fight the real culprits: the fossil fuel cos and their political enablers.

Seeing all the people going on international holidays still and I'm just like *fark* we are never gonna mange this climate thing. Half the worlds climate activists are taking yearly flights across the planet.

@bluebowerbird firstly, I'm allowed to vent every now and then. secondly, read my threaded tweet immediately after the one you replied to. thirdly, I have been working on the latter piece consistently for the past decade and with a very significant impact; I don't need anybodies lecturing.

@troutish Firstly, half the world's climate activists live in the developing world. Second, rather than berate some people for taking a holiday, let's try to get a wider range of people to be climate activists.

I definitely want to do some travel again. But I'm not doing that. Because the carbon emissions burden is too high.

OK that was an exaggeration - but soo many are. And if climate activists are doing it, what message does that send? Other people will just think it's fine.
