@michaelkapp So, you reverted the DNC to the 2005-2008 approach taken by Howard Dean (good) but you don’t have the money to actually do any meaningful voter contact and engagement (see @AllisonCampolo deserved call out).
Why is the DNC not able to raise funds for these initiatives?

Ken Martin's approach is different.
Instead of lighting money on fire for short-term optics, the DNC's now investing in year-round organizing & local relationships. We’re building permanent infrastructure rather than temporary campaign bubbles.
And voters are responding.

Most municipals (city, not county) do elections in May.

This was not a primary, this was the general.
These elections occur every May, there were 1,800+ across Texas yesterday.
They are elected without party label (but we know who’s who)
These seats will never be up in any November election.

@jadexskywalker I like the Sebastian Shaw ghost more, but prefer Victory Celebration, and my first Star Wars were TCW and the Prequels.

Also I think the best possible choice would have been to go beast mode and have Shaw look more like Vader in his last moments.

I hate the idea that you're "old" if you like the original ending. I love Yub Nub, I love seeing Sebastian Shaw more than seeing Hayden, I have zero nostalgia for Star Wars, and I watched the films when I was sixteen (not that long ago!). No need to keep hating.

Cedar Park is now 7-0 Dems after tonight.

Another 🔴 to 🔵 flip tonight in Arlington.
Overall, it’s shaping up to be a strong night for Democratic voters in Arlington, TX. In the mayoral race, the more liberal option, Jim Ross, is currently doing just enough to avoid a runoff, sitting 12 votes above the threshold.

Ds ended up winning the Pearland mayoral race and, as can sometimes happen in Texas, the vote method split was reversed from the post-Covid norm
The R won VBM, EV split evenly, but the D clearly won Election Day

Texas State Senate District 4 Special Election Chambers County (>95% Reported): 🔴 Brett Ligon - 2,084 (90.6%) 🔵 Ron Angeletti - 216 (9.4%) This SD-04 portion of county was Trump+65 in 2024, so this is a 16 point overperformance for Republicans.
