HIP-4 update. This one is big. Hyperliquid just removed the need for external oracles on prediction markets. The validator set itself is now the oracle. The same 24 validators that sign blocks every 70ms, secure $3B+ in deposits, and vote bridge withdrawals now deploy and settle prediction markets natively. Automated newsfeed software running as part of regular chain operations. Deployment and resolution through onchain validator vote. No Chainlink. No Pyth. No UMA. No third party. Closed circuit. Polymarket uses UMA. Kalshi is centralized. Hyperliquid just made real-world event resolution a native chain function. Hyperliquid.

HIP-4 CPI outcome markets look close to going live on Hyperliquid mainnet. The interesting part: resolution appears to be validator-based. From the current market config, CPI would resolve into exactly one outcome: below 4.3%, exactly 4.3%, or above 4.3%, based on the official BLS CPI print. This also looks like the next phase of HIP-4: canonical, validator-deployed markets first (where the protocol accrues all the value), then permissionless builder-deployed outcome markets later. In other words, HIP-4 may follow a similar path to perps: native markets first, builder-deployed markets later.

This is a rare sight. $HYPE is at an ATH, but its market cap is actually lower than the last time it traded at these levels. Deflation and sinks.. Compare this to $SOL, incredible 2025 run kudos to the ecosystem, but it needed a massively higher market cap just to touch the same level. Inflation kept diluting holders at every level.
