My next adventure is creating a dropbox style app that integrates with Desktop Mode and uses WordPress as the file storage. I'm calling it Floppy.

@thekevingeary I would be curious to know why? I’m moving away from it on my primary enterprise project. I both love and hate it, depends on what I’m building with. For WordPress, no thanks. For React, plenty of benefits.

@VivaLaSeth I flipped over to sonnet at the time as I was close to wrapping up. At the time I had fed Claude the Gutenberg repo to see if there were proper support for what I was doing. Worked like a charm!

@troychaplin I've almost 100% been using sonnet, except for orchestration and massive planning efforts that need to think really hard. Let the model ease out...

@apeatling @briancoords Absolutely! You can’t innovate if your head down in legacy all day. Right now we’re still in that honeymoon phase where everything is new and shiny.

@troychaplin @briancoords I think you have to work on both, otherwise you'll get caught flat-footed when step changes happen

With agentic engineering, there's a lot of new. New landing pages, new single-use tools, new prototypes. It's fun. But the real value will be in incremental improvements to existing legacy software, which is still pretty hard.

@williamsba Love how they state they are updating the price to match what modern marketing teams need. They need better tools for lower prices, not continual price increases because companies are adding AI features that might not even be useful or wanted. The cash grab is real.

@rwkyyy @thekevingeary Right. Have you worked in a camp site before? Sure, I can do a bit more with CSS, but I can’t install plugins. Asked about this last year, as I wanted to use stuff like Block Visibility, The Icon Block, or Advanced Query Loop but no go. Lots of room for improvement here!

@troychaplin @thekevingeary the simple transitions between pages and hovers/interactions on the site. For pages you can do something simple like this: wordpress.org/plugins/view-t… for the buttons, a little CSS can achieve great things!
