it’s absolutely unhinged that we’ve already reached the point where you can spin up a full episode of something like family guy or south park or futurama without writers, animators, voice actors, etc. just a simple prompt which will also be written by ai at some point. seasons of tv, generated on demand by users & ai. that’s the future staring us down. if you think about it broadly, this is basically the infinite scroll all over again but now it *produces* the content instead of fetching it. there is no supply side required. facebook spent all that time trying to get everyone to post content but that is no longer necessary. this is an existential development for… meta & possibly netflix & maybe even youtube.

Shocked and saddened to hear the passing of Ricky Hatton. When we had this training session I remember thinking, holy shit, that’s Ricky Hatton holding pads for me! My thoughts are with his loved ones. RIP to a legend and a true Manchester icon.

New: Dallas PD Releases Bodycam Footage of Officer-Involved Shooting Resulting in Death of Lawyer Wielding Knife Dallas Police responded to a 911 call describing Martin James Benes, 46, as suicidal and threatening to harm others at his home A Right Care Team, including mental health counselors, failed to convince Benes to surrender. Around 11 p.m., SWAT entered the home after a police robot found Benes asleep in a bedroom, still holding a knife. Bodycam footage showed Benes approaching officers with a knife, prompting them to retreat and issue commands to drop it. Family members said Martin struggled with alcoholism and depression, exacerbated by his ankle monitor restrictions from a February aggravated assault charge.
