The Freaks Came Out to Write: The Definitive History of the Village Voice, the Radical Paper That Changed American Culture By Tricia Romano NY media madness in the Village, and our guy N. Mailer The Upstairs Delicatessen: On Eating, Reading, Reading About Eating, and Eating While Reading By Dwight Garner, NYTimes Critic One of the most enjoyable books I have ever read. The Power Broker By Robert Caro 1200 dense pages, which may be a record for me, but the book is essential and changes the way you will ever look at a city, power, most everything.
