Stablecoin payments are getting more serious. The next bottleneck is not “can value move onchain?” It's whether dApps can accept the asset a user has and settle into the asset they actually need. Sending value is a solved problem. Settling it correctly isn't.

This is the distinction most headlines miss. A contract around an ecosystem can fail without the underlying network being compromised. Axelar says neither Axelar nor IBC was compromised, and the affected contract was not developed, deployed, or maintained by Axelar. That matters when you are choosing infrastructure for cross-chain deposits. Trustware was built on Axelar for this reason: clear boundaries, containment, and a network you can reason about when the rest of the stack gets messy.
