@truthbacker

Government can't give you anything it didn't take from someone else. Religion does not have a monopoly on morality. My ancestors were settlers, not immigrants.

☀️ In sunny Norfolk, The Queen visited Emmaus Norfolk & Waveney, a charity that offers home, support and work opportunities to people experiencing homelessness. ❤️‍🩹 Her Majesty, who has been Patron of Emmaus UK for twenty years, visited the charity’s new centre for women. Residents, known as companions, shared with The Queen their experiences of overcoming homelessness and recovering from trauma. Her Majesty also visited the on-site charity shop, a working forge where companions make jewellery to sell, and the new “Book Nook” supported by The Queen’s Reading Room.

Tommy Robinson goes head-on with Liam Bartlett, in the end Liam walks away in fury. “You can keep shouting people down and calling them whatever words you want. You can keep using the media to downplay it. The public is gonna be with people like me and Pauline, they see straight through the bullshit.

@truthbacker In the US, the Constitution was written with the idea that human rights are inherent. Collectives such as Socialism, Communism, and Fascism believe that rights are flexible and can be changed at government’s will. Australia seems to be leaning toward the “flexible” direction.

🚨 Speaker Johnson just absolutely NAILED IT: "Marxism, communism, socialism...ultimately, IT LEADS TO DEATH!" "It begins with the premise that there is no GOD." "If there is no GOD, it means you don't have ANY individual dignity, liberty, or value that's inherent. You're just another social animal. You're just part of the herd!" "And you know what happens to the social animals and the herd? They got to be directed, controlled, corralled." "They may provide for them a little bit, give them some free stuff, but they're certainly going to take away their freedom. And ultimately, it leads to death." "I told the students with their eyes getting a little wider. I said, let me tell you something, this idea of socialism? It's a Marxist idea. Marxism has led to the murder of tens of millions of innocent people in the 20th century alone!" "It is a trail to death. And I'm here to tell you, it's wrong because it begins with the wrong premise. You cannot reject the founding ideal, the creed of America, and be able to defend your freedom." Peter Lyndon-James - Page (follow hm on facebook). So you support One Nation do you.? You’re going to want to quit. Let’s get that straight right now. Somewhere between now and the next election, Pauline Hanson is going to make a decision you don’t understand. Something that doesn’t sit right, or the media will twist into the worst possible headline and shove down your throat on every channel, every website, every radio station in the country. And in that moment, you’re going to have a choice. The media will tell you one story. One Nation won’t be able to tell you theirs. That’s how politics works. There are deals done behind closed doors that can never be explained publicly. Conversations that stay in the room. Compromises that look terrible from the outside but made sense when you were sitting at the table with a gun to your head. You won’t see any of that. You’ll just see the headline, the headline will be designed to do one thing, make you walk away. That’s the game and if you don’t understand it now, you’ll fall for it later. Supporting One Nation isn’t a summer holiday. You’re signing up for every season. Summer, winter, autumn, spring, and some of those seasons are going to be brutal. There’ll be weeks where nothing makes sense. Weeks where you’re embarrassed. Weeks where your mates are laughing at you for backing them. That’s where faith comes in. Trust. The understanding that you can’t see the full picture from the outside, and neither can the bloke on Sky News telling you it’s all falling apart. When soldiers go to war, they don’t get a full briefing on every decision the generals make. They hold the line because they believe in what they’re fighting for. They trust that the people making the calls have information they don’t and they don’t desert the moment things get uncomfortable. She’s going to make calls you disagree with. She’s going to cop headlines that make her look like she’s sold out. The media is going to paint every stumble as proof the whole thing’s cooked. And you’re going to have to decide whether you trust the woman who survived prison, survived 30 years of attacks, and built a movement from nothing, or whether you trust the people who put her there. Don’t sign up for this if you’re only here for the good days. One Nation needs supporters who’ll stand in the mud, not just wave from the grandstand. Because if you bail the moment it gets hard, you’re not a supporter. You’re exactly what the establishment ordered. What’s your thoughts…? Peter Lyndon-James 🇦🇺

I was “black” when I read The Odyssey in high school... ...but somehow I never imagined the characters as looking like me. Why? Because they were GREEK characters. I didn’t need Odysseus to look like me to appreciate his story. I didn’t need Helen of Troy to look like me to understand her importance. They were Greek characters from a specific culture, with a specific history. And this is what Hollywood keeps getting wrong. We don’t identify with characters because they look like us. We connect with them because we recognize something human in them - their struggles, their courage, their flaws, their values. Odysseus is a GREEK hero. Helen of Troy is a GREEK woman. Their identities are part of what makes their stories meaningful. Casting Colombians and Africans and Indians as Greek ISN'T "representation." It’s just insulting. Stop it.

One Nation isn’t just Pauline Hanson. Malcolm Roberts is one of the key people in her team. Here he is basking in the company of a renowned right-wing conspiracy theorist, who has spent large parts of his career telling parents who lost their children in the tragic Sandy Hook school shooting that the whole thing was a hoax. Do you really want these people running our country?

There is no place for discrimination, racism or any type of hate in our society. There is a lot more we need to do here, and education can play an important part in that. We’ve already started this work. We are working on the curriculum to strengthen understanding of Australian values and we have created a Social Cohesion Education Hub that has resources for teachers. We’re now taking the next step by establishing the Social Cohesion Advisory Council to do ongoing work to strengthen social cohesion across the education system. Part of its work will be providing advice to government on the key recommendations of the Respect at Uni report. It will also do a review of the school curriculum, focusing on strengthening racial and religious tolerance. And it will develop a Social Cohesion Framework for schools to help teachers and school leaders do this.

🇺🇸🇮🇷 Ex-CIA officer Michael Scheuer on why he believes a war against Iran can't be won: "You have to remember we haven't won a war since 1945. I'm not sure we've fought a war that was worth fighting since 1945. The basic problem here is no one has looked at a history book. They would know the Iranians weren't going to run; they never run. You're looking at a U.S. government that displays a complete ignorance of the world. There is no one who can speak to what the characteristics of that country is in terms of operating under strife. It's the same problem we had in Iraq, the same problem we had in Vietnam." Writers: Mhedi, Michael
