🚨🚨🚨#GOLFCHAT QUESTION #5🚨🚨🚨 Many consider Riviera Country Club to have the finest combination of opening and finishing holes for a golf course. What golf course do you think has the best combination of opening and finishing holes that you've played? #GolfChat

Riviera emphasizes iron play as much as any event on tour. Players with average distance will find themselves in the 140-200 range on almost every Par 4. There are only three Par 5’s and all are reachable with good drives. The 75-125 yd wedge opportunities that often yield birdies are uncommon at Riviera. This leads to an even bigger advantage for the longest hitters, especially when you consider the playable rough and width relative to most venues. With wet conditions, here are the typical distances players will face on second shots this week. - 220 (1st) - 190 (2nd) - 125 (3rd) - 270 (4th) - 165 (5th) - 190 (6th) - 150 (7th) - 105 (8th) - 145 (9th) - 30 (10th) - 280 (11th) - 180 (12th) - 160 (13th) - 190 (14th) - 185 (15th) - 165 (16th) - 290 (17th) - 190 (18th)

I came into golf right about when AK left the tour. Never got to see him compete in his prime. Truly one of the most surprising and inspiring comebacks I’ve ever seen across all sports.

How many courses in the U.S. (public or private) have coastal land as good as Torrey Pines? Cypress Point, Pebble Beach, and Fishers Island come to mind for me. Anyone else have some good contenders?

@LVgolfandsteak Sandpiper was supposed to get an awesome Tom Doak redesign, environmental concerns have delayed the project many years. He would do an incredible job with the site
