Photographer Lexey Swall received Pentagon clearance to join a helicopter flight over Joint Base Andrews for these images.
Robert Moore has traveled and played many of America’s military courses, and he writes about their impact in TGJ No. 13: glfrsj.nl/green-zone

It may be hard to get into Augusta or Cypress Point, but neither of their gates are guarded by M4-toting military police charged with protecting some of the country’s most valuable assets.
Joint Base Andrews guards the airspace around Washington, and it is also home to 36 holes of golf.
At 5 p.m. each day, the national anthem plays. Every golfer stops where they stand.
It’s a favorite amongst presidents, and F-16s conduct touch-and-gos directly behind the 10th tee.
A thread on the United States’ military courses:

@BigSwingTempo Coordinate with your host, when he plans to show up so you can arrive at the same time or just after, where he would like to meet, and if/where he would like you to check in at all. Bring cash in case it's a "tipping" property. Offer to buy him drinks/ a meal after the round.
English

@Golfingbrock If I shoot 65 I might just retire in general, hang em up bc I done did it 😂
(Not actually true - I would immediately be scheduling the next round and looking for a tournament 🤣😂)
English

Think I might retire the ball now😎

Brock 💣@Golfingbrock
2nd round with this ball. 72 today. Gonna let it ride🤷♂️

@JamesMac_Fit No screens at meals, and that includes yourself and the adults you're with, be the example, stay engaged. Bring books, games, activities, be prepared.
Be ok with saying "No" hard moments now will be replaced with better memories.
Be flexible, rules can be broken, do your best
English

Dads... I need your advice.
As a young dad myself, I’m genuinely worried about my son growing up addicted to screens, phones, games, etc.
It feels like EVERYTHING is designed to grab their attention these days.
So I want to ask:
- How do you actually manage screen time in your house?
- What’s worked for you?
- What’s failed?
Would appreciate real answers from people who’ve been there 🤝

@CoachJRollins She's a lady of refined taste 😂
A rare stop for us, but some Happy Meals after an afternoon of bouncy house and arcade is a guaranteed victory on a rained out day
English

@JD_Patrick Good luck! Sweet and sour sauce with fries at McD is next level smart. Bright future for that one!

@UESgolf @thecombinegolf 👀👀👀 what's better than new clubs, that feeling when the box gets handed over - pure joy, inject that feeling directly into my veins
Just got the ship notification on my wedges, needed that today
English

@JD_Patrick Have a new set being built by my pal @thecombinegolf
English

@aarong There actually a summer project on the list so perfect! Thanks for the advice!

I hear you on the photo storage issue! To test, use the same prompt on the 3 AI tools, such as: “Create a practical step-by-step build plan for a backyard shed-style golf simulator enclosure. Include recommended dimensions, materials list, basic cost estimate, and key considerations for lighting, ventilation, and weatherproofing.”
English

@aarong I've had a Pixel phone since they debuted so it's really the photo storage that chews up the data - just 100 million pics of my kids lol - haven't tried using Grok at all, I should prob test that out and see if I like it and compare it to Gemini product vs GPT
English
@JD_Patrick Here’s what I use: X Verified subscription through the website ($84 a year). Fewer ads, better reach, and full Grok features. Gemini through Google AI Studio on web (free). Zero ChatGPT. Total cost $84/year. I’m not a heavy GSuite data user so storage hasn’t been an issue.
English

@afleisch_says Oh yea, significantly better!? I've enjoyed GTP, mostly just use it for fun, house design stuff, and a little research, helps with some of the marketing stuff I do at work but absolutely not loyal to it was just the first in really got into - I'm a Google phone laptop user
English

@JD_Patrick Jeff- don't think twice. Dump GPT and use the superior AI app.
